From the boat to the village we travelled by train:
We stayed in a wonderful hotel and had lots of fun!
I like this photograph the best:
The wind always blows the sand where you don't want it ...
I went to a workshop by Sue Daley; it was her last in Europe. That day she left for Oz again.
I learnt a lot, mostly to relax about my sewing: what you make is yours to be proud of!
We all wanted to learn from her and huddled around her; sometimes she had hardly any light left!
Yes, she's good at explaining, but she's not as fierce as she looks here.
Among other quilts she made the Pies and Tarts Quilt. Look here.
Yesterday I made a small gift for a friend:
My first MUGRUG!
And I've started to work on a table runner.
Made of sturdy material and double batting so it can a giant potholder too.
Too late to enter here, but I'm having a great time making it.
That's it!
Have a wonderful week!
Hi Betty, your runner looks great! It's too late to enter the competition for the Spring Runner Sew-Along, but feel free to post your photo to our Flickr pool when you're done so everyone can see your beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteI love that mug rug as well, gorgeous!
