Life goes on

I have thought of you a lot lately!
All 75 of you: still hanging in there.
I think that's really amazing of ALL of you.
But I don't kid myself: I know how hard it it to unsubscribe from a blog, I mean technically.

No dears: you've all been GREAT!
After all that I've done to you: you're still here.
That must mean a real commitment?

And that's just not what I could do these last months.
I've been through a bad, dark patch and I still cannot give a real cause.
It wasn't just the autumn, the leaves falling, the light fading.
It wasn't just those horrible hormones.

I am waaaaaaaay behind on the 2 Bees I'm (still) in: the ladies have been really patient.
But I have to get back in the saddle in January and there's a lot of catching up to do.

I finished the quilt for my youngest daughter.
All made of voile: front and back, so it's really soft.

I wanted to be in time, not for my 2nd blogoversary, but for wishing you a wonderful Christmas!
(there's still time)

At the moment I'm making a bear quilt for a couple who are trying to have a family; I'll show you once I'm finished.

Thanks for being here!

  1. Hello, Betty. Nice to see you in print.

Wishing you a happy and peaceful Christmas.

  2. Ohh it's so good to see you blogging again - I was a bit worried, and yes I should have mailed, but for the last months I was either busy writing the BA thesis (which is done now) or making christmas presents. The world here is white and in 7 days I get to go home and visit family and have my mountains back.
    Have a nice Christmas!
Ohh and that quilt looks lovely ..

  3. Your highest and most important commitment is to yourself, dear Betty, so you have done well. I hope you are feeling a little better and are coming out of your dark spot into the light.
Good to see you've been trying quilting as therapy - I think it works wonders. The voile looks wonderful, I can only imagine how good it feels, front and back. And the colours are so rich, I love Mrs Horner's fabrics!
Welcome back and all the best for the lead up to the holiday season!

  4. I hope you are taking your time and coming out of that dark place, it's so easy to slip back down there, believe me I know :( I love your quilt, I think your daughter is going to be thrilled :) Happy Christmas to you and your family xxx

  5. What a beautiful quilt,

    Merry Christmas!
