Happiness is ...

Whatever the postman brings in big envelopes or packages, like this big one:

All half metres of Salt Water by Tula Pink, but you knew that.
Haven't got a clue yet what to do with them except enjoying them just as they are.
I like the wavy quilt Tula has made with these fabrics, you can see it here.

The quick project I told you about last time is nearly ready; I'll show you when it's ready.
Can anyone tell me how to quilt minkee? Will it not lose its fluffiness?

  1. I would adise enjoying them a little longer before you start cutting them up. I always have to think about the ebach or a bath robe when I see that fabric .. but I guess you are looking for quilt patterns ..

Im sorry - I have no idea how to sew minky/minkee but I guess as it'S some kind of fleece a few extra pins are needed. Maybe you can go over it with a soft brush afterwards to get the fibers out from under the sewing thread. And the fluffiness I guess depends on how dense you quilt.

  3. Whatever you make I'm sure it will be beautiful. I hope to buy some of these later in the year as they are fabulous prints.

  5. Don't you just love squishy mail? I received two quilt blocks in the mail this week. Your fabrics will become something gorgeous I'm sure.

  6. Minkee makes a great backing. No, it does not loose it's fluffiness; however if it is embossed with dots etc. they may get smooshed.

Be careful not to stretch the minkee when you are working with it.
