It seems funny to put the month and the year in the title, but it just makes me realise time does go quickly. And 'they say' it goes even quicker as you get older.

Market and exhibition full of inspiration. Like this man, Arnout Cosman, who makes the most beautiful quilts!  Meeting an old friend in Amsterdam and buying ART.   Finishing Storm's baby quilt.  Winning this lovely mini quilt (17" sq) made by FrozenKnickers with a tutorial here.  Finishing my brown/beige baby quilt. I had so many positive reactions on this one! I was over the moon! I need your help as it is still without a name. Suggestions, please?  And have I now created a monster that will never be finished? Well maybe I'll just make my postage stamp quilt a little bit bigger, starting with 2" squares. All of those I love. Today I started working on a quilt with a huge star in the most beautiful fabric (of all?) Well I have to leave you with a cliffhanger, don't I? I have no names for it because I have no imagination but will come back to you if anything comes to mind but I love love love that baby quilt. It's so sophisticated and serene, like trees in winter

ReplyDeleteOoh, I love your brown baby quilt. It is gorgeous! And the circular quilting is just perfect. I like how you started the quilting off to the side. Naming quilts isn't easy! I find that when I think about why I made a quilt and what I like about it, a name comes to me.

ReplyDeleteThe browns baby quilt makes me think of sunshine on a cloudy day. I would call it something along the lines of Solar. Very impressive quilting--I can barely do one circle!

ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! You sort of have a name for your quilt already - Over the Moon (as you are with it), plus it has the browns/beiges of the moon and the circular quilting. Love the postage stamp starter - I have been thinking of something similar as the scraps are piling up, but I agree with you on making the squares a bit bigger than 1 inch. It might drive me crazy at 1 inch!
ReplyDeleteLove your earth quilt Betty. You have taken the photo in the perfect place. I love the old hut in the background. How about Nature's Edge or Spinning Earth or maybe some reference to the hut in background if it has a connection with you. Naming quilts is not my strong point. I like Rachel's suggestion of Tiny Tumbleweed.
